Motor vehicle crashes are the most common cause of serious injury in the U.S. In 1998, there were 15.6 deaths from motor vehicle crashes per 100,000 persons. (Healthy People 2010) Some commonsense motor vehicle safety tips include:

  • Drive safely for the conditions.
  • Don’t speed.
  • Wear your seat belt.
  • Don’t drink and drive.

Also, be sure to wear helmets when biking or riding a motorcycle.
